Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? A zoo has no useful purpose.

I believe that a zoo has many useful purposes.

 1. A zoo is a live educational place where people especially children can learn our nature and live animals. Children do not have many chances to see animals at firsthand. They just see them in books, TV, or games. If they see directly and touch them, they will love and treat more carefully them. They can learn that all live things are precious and they should not abuse animals.

 2. A zoo helps people who are tired in their life to relieve their stress. In zoo, we can feel nature through appreciating it. There are trees, flowers, water, animals and especially no cars. As we live in big cities, we get a lot of stress from noise of cars, people, or TV, and bad smells from gas of automobiles, big buildings, or factories. We sometimes want to escape there, but we do not have much time to travel to country side. A zoo will give your feeling refresh whenever you are tired without wasting too much time to move.

 3. A zoo helps to preserve our nature. In a big city, people want to build as many big buildings or apartments as they can to make money. If all places of a big city are occupied by grey buildings, it will be dangerous for our mental and physical health. A zoo will keep at least one place in which people can see green earth.

People learn in different ways. Some people learn by doing things. Other people learn by reading about things, others learn by listening to people talk about things. Which of these methods of learning is best for you? Use specific examples to support of your choice.

I prefer to learn something from listing people. If I learn by listening to people talk about things, it will be much more fun and exciting than reading books. Also, I can learn not only knowledge but also other things that can not learn in the books through other people’s experiences.

First, learning by listening to people talk is efficient. When I study with books, if something does not understand, I have to find someone who can help me to answer it. However, if I have a question during listing from people, I can ask them directly. Also, I can ask them more detail stories I want to know or even ask them tell slowly. It will help me to understand something.

Second, if I learn from stories of people, it will be much fun. Reading books sometimes need patient to keep it up and easy to be tired. The lessons from first hand experience of people are active and easy to understand.

Next, I can learn something from people’s mistakes. When I listen something from others, I can memorize their mistakes or something wrong. And then I will try not to make the same mistakes already they made. It will be very good lessons in my life.

Some people like doing work by hand. Others prefer using machines. Which do you prefer? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

I prefer using machines when I do my work. Although some people who like doing work by hand think the hand work is more delicate than the machine work, using machines has much more benefits the hand work can not have.

1. The machine work can reduce my labor. When I work with my hand, I feel so tired after finishing the work. On the other hand, the machine work is much easier. I can finish my work without being exhausted, so I can more work with the same time. Also, during the work of machines I can work other things or take a rest.

 2. The machine work is more accurate than the hand work. As I work with my hand, I try not to make mistakes or to do perfectly, but usually something becomes wrong. However, if I use the machine correctly, the machine work can reduce or not make errors.

 3. The machines can do more complicate or dangerous work. For example, as I make my art work, there are some limitations with my hand such as cutting very fragile, small, or complicate modeling. In here, using machine is the solution. The machine can cut anything and even it is definitely safe.
